WB NAT/ PG NAT 2023 Exam will be held on 1st July 2023 (M.Sc. Nursing). In the state of West Bengal applicants who want to get admission to M.Sc. Nursing course and Post Basic B.Sc. However, applicants who are interested in getting admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course offered in different universities and colleges located in the state of West Bengal needs to appear for the entrance exam which is known as WBNAT.

The WBNAT is commonly known as West Bengal Nursing Admission Test. And the WBUHS conducts a second entrance exam which is known as WBPGNAT.

WBPGNAT is conducted for those applicants who wish to get admission in M.Sc. Nursing courses offered in different universities and colleges located in the state of West Bengal need to appear for the WBPGNAT.

WBPGNAT is known as West Bengal Post Graduate Nursing Admission Test. However, all the notifications related to the admission procedure and the entrance exam will be available on the official website of the WBUHS.

Application Fee

• Applicants who are appearing for M.Sc. The nursing course needs to pay Rs 3000/- as an application fee for the entrance exam.
• And application fee for those applicants who are appearing for Post Basic Course for the degree of Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing needs to pay Rs 2000/- for the entrance exam.
• However, for the reference of the applicants, the application fee is nonrefundable.
• And application fee can be paid in both online and offline mode.
• In the case of online mode applicants need to pay the application fee by debit card, credit card, or net banking feature also.
• And in the case of offline mode applicants need to pay the application fee by demand draft or cash to the university in person.
• However, applicants are instructed to make the Demand Draft in favor of the university.

WB NAT/WB PG NAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The important information related to the eligibility criteria is mentioned below for the reference of the applicants:

Nationality:

• Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the admission procedure.

For Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course (WBNAT):

Educational Qualification:

• One must have completed the HSC exam from a recognized board.
• Applicants must hold a valid certificate of GNM course from a registered State Nursing Council of any State of India.

For M.Sc. Nursing course (WBPGNAT):

Educational qualification:

• B.Sc. degree in Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. The nursing course must be completed by the applicant.

Qualifying marks:

• More than 55% of marks should be secured by the applicants in the qualifying exam.

Work experience:

• One should have a minimum of one year of work experience after or before a B.Sc. degree in Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course.

WB NAT/WB PG NAT 2023 Exam Pattern

The important information related to the Entrance Exam is mentioned below for the reference of the applicants:

• Multiple choice questions will be asked in the entrance exam.
• Applicants need to appear a maximum of 100 questions in the entrance exam.
• Official authorities will provide a maximum of 80 minutes to solve the entire paper of the entrance exam.
• However, applicants will get one mark for each correct response given in the entrance exam.
• There is no provision of negative markings in the entrance exam for incorrect answers.
• However, a separate entrance exam will be conducted for the applicants who want to get admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course (WBNAT) and M.Sc. Nursing course (WBPGNAT).

For Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course (WBNAT):

• Anatomy, Physiology, Sociology, Psychology. Pharmacology, Microbiology, Nutrition, Pathology.
• Foundation of Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Obstetrical Nursing.

For M.Sc. Nursing course (WBPGNAT):

• Anatomy, Physiology, Sociology, Psychology. Pharmacology, Microbiology, Genetic, Administration, Education, Research, and Statistics, Pathology.

WB NAT/WB PG NAT 2023 Merit List

Once the entrance exam is completed, official authorities will prepare a merit list of the applicants.

A merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks secured by the applicants in the entrance exam in order to decrease marks.

However, on the basis of the merit list, official authorities will conduct a counseling session for the applicants.

The counseling session will be held in order to provide admission to the eligible applicants in the institution. The merit list will be prepared separately for each category.
